Monday, November 08, 2004 To Speak Thy Name ~ moonflower ~ To speak thy name is to know thy sweetness My mind beckons thee closer In my heart, thou is lodged In eros, in agape Desiring thee, loving thee To speak thy name is to be fostered in thy loving arms Thou bring a sense of calm with the thoughts thy evoke And I wish to bathe thee with certainty In ardor, in actualization Leaving a trail of bliss, of utter perfection I know thy name as I know mine I whisper it to the morning sun as the day unfolds I beat it to the moon as its coppery glow jewels the nightsky The stars know thy name comprises every wish I make Like a song, it comes naturally to me Like the river, thy name flows so fluidly Unbridled zeal of passion, unparalled poetry, To speak thy name. ~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~* Give Me The Key(Or Let Me See You Again) His face was one of those in the crowd, among the trees and the flowers in the park. Absorbed in the world of make-believe, he was reading as I came by. He must have sense it as I came closer to the bench where he was seated but if he did he showed no sign. May I sit here with you? Would that be fine? Certainly.I wouldn't mind. That's what he said as he glanced my way. Then a million questions came into mind. Do you know how beautiful your eyes are? Have you ever looked in the mirror and seen the gentle way you stare? The music of the summer afternoon became him. The sun brightened the soft contours of his face. If I would tell you a secret would you believe me? I recognize your face, I have seen it before and I am seeing it for the first time. Would it be fine that in a moment my heart you captured so easily? Would you believe that with your quiet demeanor and the air of contentment that surrounds you I feel free? Could I see your face more often? Would you mind, I 'd like to walk this park with you and open the door toyour life if you'd give me the key? Or at least tell me you'd back tomorrow and I'd see you again. The trees swayed to the wind . They have seen it a number of times before. They have recgonized it in us when we walked by. We talked and talked. I laughed and cry. He laughed and cry And he showed me his thoughts on love and beauty. Of trusting, and taking chances. As the night fell on us I was sure I fell in love with him. Could you tell what the smile on my face means? Could you tell it is about you? The music of the summer night became us. Would you mind I'd like to walk out this park with you Let me open the door to your life, please give me the key. Or at least come back tomorrow... Let me see you again. |
